Plus4Events - How we use Cookies

This document explains about how we use cookies to deliver our services via our websites and your options to control their use. Our use of cookies is part of our Privacy Policy.

When you interact with Plus4Events or other Plus4Group Ltd websites, we strive to make that experience easy and meaningful. When you come to our Sites, our Web server sends a cookie to your computer or mobile device ("Device"). Cookies are small files that Web browsers store on a Device and are used to tell us whether customers and visitors have visited the Sites previously.

Standing alone, cookies do not identify you personally. They merely recognize your browser. Unless you choose to identify yourself to us, either by responding to a promotional offer, opening an account, or registering for a 30-day Test Drive, you remain anonymous to us.

Cookies come in two flavours: session and persistent-based.

Session cookies exist only during an online session. They disappear from your Device when you close your browser software or turn off your Device. Persistent cookies remain on your Device after you've closed your browser or turned off your Device. They include such information as a unique identifier for your browser.

We use session cookies containing encrypted information to allow the system to uniquely identify you while you are logged in. This information allows us to process your online transactions and requests. Session cookies help us make sure you are who you say you are after you've logged in and are required in order to use Plus4Group applications. We use persistent cookies that only Plus4Group can read and use, to identify the fact that you are a Plus4Group customer or prior Plus4Events website visitor (whatever the case may be).

We are especially careful about the security and confidentiality of the information stored in persistent cookies. For example, we do not store account numbers or passwords in persistent cookies. Users who disable their Web browsers' ability to accept cookies will be able to browse our Sites but will not be able to successfully use our Services.

Third Party Cookies: We may from time to time engage third parties to track and analyze non-personally identifiable usage and volume statistical information from visitors to our Sites to help us administer our Sites and improve their quality. Such third parties may use cookies to help track visitor behaviour. Such cookies will not be used to associate individual website visitors to any personally identifiable information. All data collected by such third parties on behalf of Plus4Group is used only to provide us with information on Sites usage and is not shared with any other third parties.

‘The Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (the Regulations) cover the use of cookies and similar technologies for storing information, and accessing information stored on a user’s equipment such as their computer or mobile.

A cookie is a small file, typically of letters and numbers, downloaded on to a device when the user accesses certain websites. Cookies are then sent back to originating website on each subsequent visit. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognise a user’s device. The Regulations apply to cookies and also to similar technologies for storing information. This could include, for example, Local Shared Objects.

The use of cookies and similar technologies has for some time been commonplace and cookies in particular are important in the provision of many online services. Using such technologies is not, therefore, prohibited by the Regulations but they do require that people are told about cookies and given the choice as to which of their online activities are monitored in this way.’

Our cookies are also used to help you move around our website and remember the data that you have entered.  If you are logged in, you would expect the website to remember the information to make your booking experience more efficient.
